The love of God extends even to people like you. Think about this for a moment. How do you respond to that? Do you say, “How wonderful that God would do that.” Or do you think a bit further and ask, “What do you mean ‘even people like you?’ What kind of person do you think I am?”
The story of the Bible we focus on today is a wonderful story of God’s love extending far beyond our own love and reaching people we might not think deserve it. And you might be right; maybe they don’t deserve God’s love. But that doesn’t stop God.
