Our minister (pastor) is Brian Harvey

“Hi everyone. Brian here. It is great to be able to serve Jesus here at Heathmont Presbyterian Church. I was inducted as the minister here in February 2020, and have been in full-time ministry since 1992 when I was ordained and commissioned in The Salvation Army. It was while training for that ministry that I met Anne. We now have two wonderful sons and one daughter in law. We have been living in Heathmont since 2014 and find the Village Shops to be a great place to enjoy.

Prior to commencing in my role here, I was serving Jesus as the Youth Ministries Director for the Presbyterian Church in Victoria. It is a great encouragement to me to know that young people are still finding life in Jesus, and I want to continue to help people in that.

I ride a Honda, drive a Holden, and use an Android.

If you see me walking the streets, please say hi. And if you are able to wander into our church one Sunday, I look forward to saying hello to you.”

Our elders are Endre Papajcsik and Doug Fraser

“G’day and welcome to HPC! I’ve been a member of this great church since 2011, an Elder for the since 2013, and a Heathmont local since March, 2020. It’s been a privilege to be part of a team of men and women who actively seek to have God’s voice known and heard at Heathmont, in meaningful and life-changing ways. I’m passionate for biblically sound preaching and quality bible studies that major on application…you’ll find both at HPC.

Professionally, I’m an IT consultant specialising in Enterprise Resource Planning; having studied computer science and mathematics in Queensland, and geology and ecology here in Melbourne. In 2008, God called me to undertake graduate degrees in theology at Ridley College and at our Presbyterian Theological College, to better equip me for local church ministry.

In my free time I’m a keen fruit & veg gardener, who loves mountainous and coastal walks, skiing, landscape photography, rail trails on my mountain bike,…and a good coffee!

If you visit us (please do), I’ll most likely be on the piano, or welcoming visitors. I look forward to seeing you soon.”

Greetings.

I have been a part of the Heathmont Presbyterian Church since 1983. I was elected to be an elder in 1986 and continue to serve the church in this role. I would like to welcome you as you visit us at Heathmont Presbyterian.

I retired from teaching maths in 1998 after 38 years in the classroom.

I enjoy gardening, reading, and cooking cakes. Linda and I have been married now for seventeen years.
