Mary’s story is known as an Unusual Story because of the circumstances of her Unplanned Pregnancy. In 2022 in Australia, an unplanned teenage pregnancy doesn’t create much attention. It certainly doesn’t carry the fear that it did in the past. But what makes Mary’s unplanned pregnancy different is that it wasn’t really unplanned. God is behind this. And Mary, trusting that God is good, accepts what God has given her. No wonder Elizabeth calls her ‘blessed’.
