It’s one of the great hashtags – #blessed
Perhaps it’s a simple and shorthand way of saying how we feel without needing to explain the details of all that has happened. And perhaps it has become an over-used word. When Jesus uses this word to describe people, there is a great paradox happening. Jesus describes the blessed ones as ‘poor in spirit’, ‘meek’ and ‘hungry for righteousness’ and more. How can these people possibly be the blessed ones? More importantly, how can we be the blessed ones?
We hope you will be encouraged to put aside your pride and accept all that Jesus is. Take hold of that first step as an authentic Christian.
