Samuel would never have known who Saul was if God hadn’t told him. But because he had heard God once, he was expecting to hear him again. There’s a good lesson for all of us there – when we open a Bible, expect to hear God speak. Then, because Samuel had heard God, he acted on it. Again, there’s a good lesson for us here. Do what God says.
