Those who are involved in musical theatre or in other acting roles know the difficulty of pretending to be something you are not – although some might enjoy the experience too. It would be wonderful to change everything about me just by taking off some old clothes and putting on some new clothes – as if putting on a white coat will make me a scientist, or putting on a high-vis shirt will make me a carpenter. It takes more than a change of clothes.
Any hope I have of being a different person must come from within. A change of heart more than a change of shirt.
