Nobody likes to be caught doing the wrong thing. We much prefer to be able to do what we want to do and then pretend nothing has happened. But we can’t really do that can we? After all, we know what has happened, we know it shouldn’t have happened, and we know we are the guilty ones.

But what should we do with that guilt? King David is an example of a man who thnks he can sneak away and pretend nothing has happened, but God won’t allow it to sit quietly. After time has passed and David hasn’t changed, God will speak – and what God will say is significant.

What David does is also significant. Listen carefully to his response to God and see how relevant his words are for you today also.
