If you want to be the greatest, you can either put in the work to get there, or pull everyone else down. Neither of these options are the ones Jesus gives when he is asked ‘Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.’ Then he takes a child, a toddler, to say ‘You need to humble yourself and become like a little child’.
And then Jesus reveals how important children are.
The warning he gives is confronting – and relevant for our time. Learn from children and learn from Jesus.
