A woman comes into the room. She is holding a jar, a jar made of alabaster. As soon as she opens it the smell hits you. Even if you don’t know what it is, you know it is expensive. As she empties the perfume over the head of Jesus, you don’t see the gift. All you see is the waste. And you complain. But Jesus doesn’t. Jesus commends her actions.

And he ensures what she has done will always be talked about.

Whose story will be told – the beautiful or the betrayer. What will your story be?

Matthew 26:1-16
